OPEN YOUR EYES

He dosent notice the tide
As it rides up the shore
Dancing on the beach
Sand castles no more.

He cant hear the children
As they splash and play
The shells at his feet
Which the ocean did lay

He cant feel the breeze
Of the fresh ocean air.
He may be sitting on the beach
But his mind is not their.

He dosent feel
The hot summers sun,
Beating down on his skin
Only the pain in his heart
Which is deep with in.

As the sun slowly sets
He opens his eyes
To see the beauty
He never did realize.
